Andhra Pradesh Flood Live: Amid heavy rainfall in AP and Telangana, the South Central Railway (SCR) has cancelled 21 additional trains and diverted 10 others due to waterlogging on tracks at various locations.

    Heavy rains have also caused damage to the railway track between Kesamudram and Mahabubabad in Telangana.
    Among 21 trains cancelled included 12669 MGR Chennai Central to Chhapra, 12670 Chhapra-MGR Chennai Central, 12615 MGR Chennai Central-New Delhi, 12616 New Delhi-MGR Chennai Central, the South Central Railway (SCR) said in a bulletin on Sunday.
    While, 12763 Tirupati-Secunderabad, 22352 SMVT Bengaluru-Patliputra, 22674 Mannargudi-Bhagat Ki Kothi, 20805 Vishakhapatnam-New Delhi, and six other trains were diverted, the SCR bulletin said.
    Due to heavy water flow at the Rayanapadu, the Southern Central Railway also diverted two trains, SMVB Bengaluru-Danapur and Danapur-SMVB Bengaluru, the SCR bulletin added.

According to police, Srinivas, a gym owner, fell into the flood water in the presence of his father. Police retrieved the body and sent it to a govt hospital for postmortem. Rains in Vijayawada flooded many parts of the city.

Andhra Pradesh Flood Live: The road link between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh was cut off with hundreds of vehicles stranded on the national highway on either side of the bordering Kodad town between the two Telugu states due to flood water washing away roads and inundating low-lying bridges. Police diverted the traffic on other routes and appealed to the people not to come out unless there was a real emergency.

Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu said that the administration has been functioning round the clock to restore normalcy in the flood-ravaged areas. Naidu said that the govt has made all efforts to avert casualties in light of the unprecedented rainfall over the past two days.

The CM said that approximately 17,000 people were evacuated to 107 camps from the inundated areas. He said that they have directed the district collectors to forcibly relocate people in low-lying areas to relief camps to ensure their safety.
